4 P's & SWOT Analysis

4 P's

Product: Live Life Aloha offers the people of Hawaii an easy-to-go-to source for obesity reduction.  Our organization will provide a website along with other media sources to get our message across and provide Hawaii’s public with resources, menus, exercise groups, and fitness-guidance tools in order to live a healthy lifestyle.

Place: Our organization’s main office is located on Maui. Our target market is focused towards the people of Hawaii, of all ages.

Price: We are a non-profit organization that will rely on other means of income, such as donations, advertisements, and maybe subscriptions.

Promotion: Our main source of promotion would be our website and through social media.  We may also consider booths at local health fairs, flyers, newspaper advertisements, and working with organizations like MEO and YMCA in order to reach those who don’t have access to the Internet.

SWOT Analysis

Strengths:
·      We will focus on Hawaii’s market by incorporating Hawaii’s culture into the mix, such as recipes and classes.
·      Target market is focused on all ages, whereas some organizations focus only on children or the elderly.

Weaknesses:
·      Funding; since we are a non-profit, we will have to work on getting funding from other means, such as donations and advertisements.
·      People may not react to our organization as desired.

Opportunities:
·      We have the opportunity to expand in the future since the fight for obesity reduction is increasing.  Our First Lady, Michelle Obama recently launched the Let's Move Campaign for childhood obesity, which is a great motivator for organizations like us to move ahead and grow.

Threats:
·      Competition that includes other organizations and other websites
·      Growing expenses and finding income
·      Meeting our market’s needs and keeping up with growth
